Pre-4th Party @ Annabelle's

Gaelen's friend Annabelle, who he met at the playground after a T-Ball practice, had a July 3rd Fireworks viewing party and cookout and we were invited!!! They live on a hill with a great sunset view of the Holyoke Range which also looks over where the town of South Hadley fires off the fireworks so it is a natural place for a party!!

There were lots of kids and kid stuff to do and of course yummy food to eat!

Gaelen made a big splash on the hillside Slip-N-Slide and enjoyed playing with all the kids. He brought his new Red Sox Batting helmet, his glove, bat and ball and got in a few hits when one of the dad's began pitching to the kids.

The Potholes at Shelburne Falls

On Wednesday we drove up to Shelburne Falls to swim in the Potholes and have a picnic beside the river.

The water was the lowest we had seen yet and though it did not make for good swimming we had lots of fun exploring the potholes.





Life is full at 154 S. Main; Molly is still looking for a place. Our landlord informed us that they will NOT extend our lease past August so we are looking at 6 more weeks here in South Hadley. Colleen gave her notice at work today and is done the end of August along with our lease. We are tentatively planning a long slow trip West to California in September via Colorado, Utah, Nevada and the National Parks in California's Sierra Nevadas so that we are fully in travel mode when we fly out to Fiji in early October.
