Climbing Mt Holyoke at SunSet

Colleen came home from work early yesterday and we headed up rt47 along the Connecticut River to where it cuts through the Holyoke Range and left our car on a dusty road above a cowbarn at a trailhead we found on a Sunday Drive with my momma.


The trail, golden with the autumn carpet climbs swiftly to the ridge which then ascends gently up and down and up again with stunning sunfilled views to the West over the river valley.



The Connecticut River over the eons has cut a gap in the Holyoke Range which runs West to East. Colleen here is looking out over the cowbarn towards the Connecticut in the West.
