All Species Day

We celebrated All Species Day on Sunday with a bunch of Vermonters here in Montpelier. We made costumes, I was a dolphin, Ambiana a bear and Colleen a pregnant Lady Bug (Her costume got the most oohs and aaaahs followed closely by Am-bear-ana :)

We gathered with the other costumed folk at Hubbard Park for an opening circle ceremony where the species danced to the 4 directions before heading off on a parade through downtown to the Statehouse lawn for a Spring Pagent.



Ambiana and Colleen took part in the Pagent, Ambiana was a flower child and she and Mommy got to dance around on the Statehouse steps.

There was also a Maypole Dance...
