Equinox- Equal night in Latin. The Spring Equinox arrived on Tuesday March 20th at 8:07pm EDT. We celebrated by inviting the Mom's grOup over for a potluck and egghunt. Colleen, Molly and Gaelen stayed up the night before dying eggs and each mom brought a dozen decorated eggs over with them. Since it was still super snowy out from the St. Patrick's day snowstorm we began indoors. All the kids loved our toys and the musical instruments and ran through the house tooting on something and making wonderful toddler music.

While everyone ate, Molly and Gaelen went out and hiD the egss in the snowy backyard. Then it was time for the egghunt. Ambiana loved it. Colleen carried her around and she would see and egg and point and say "ugh." I had to work and missed the whole thing, arriving home just as everyone was leaving. The Spring Equinox is the 1st quarter moon phase of the Solar year. It is when the shoots emerging from the seed shoot towards the surface and the light. I'm not sure what the eggs symbolize but they didn't come from a bunny.
