| On February 2nd we will be celebrating Imbolc. This is the time of year in the Northern Hemisphere when there is a "Quickening of the Light." A stirring in the seed as the shoot emerges from the husk and begins it's journey towards the Light. This is the crescent moon phase of the Solar Year when the whisperings of Springtide are heard as the Goddess nurtures Her Young Son. As a time of the year associated with beginning growth, Imbolc is an initiatory period for many. Here we plant the "seeds" of our hopes and dreams for the coming summer months. Imbolc this year coincides with the Full Moon which will serve as our light to greet the acendancy of the Day Force as it emerges from the dark of winter. We will be in Florida then and will symbolically honor the returning Light by returning ourselves from the warmth and sun of the South, bringing its essence into the remaining months of Winter in the North.
